three Utah brewers win at nation’s greatest beer competitors; and a couple of eating places with type

The biggest market competition in the country took place last week and three Salt Lake City brewers came home with a medal.

Proper Beer English English winner – named Proper Beer – won the English Ale category, which featured 93 characters. at the largest alcohol competition in the USA. “

According to the GABF website, “gold medals are awarded to” international businesses, “which accurately reflect its style, showcasing its flavor, aroma and texture.

Granary Keller Bier of TF Brewing took third place in the Kellerbier or Zwickelbier category, which had 71 records; while Grid City Beer Works’ Honey Cream found a bronze in the Honey Beer category, which contained 72 records.

In all, there were 91 alcohol groups consisting of 170 species and other groups. This year there were 8,806 entries from 1,720 in 50 companies including Washington, DC

Officials handed out 272 medals to 240 beer vendors at an event held at The Brewing Network, said contestant Chris Swersey in a statement. “Obviously, this is one of the most difficult years that the brewing industry has been facing, which is why we believe the rewards are not only a reflection of the strength and courage of the entire team of breweries.”

Restaurants win prizes

The Utah Human Race will fight hunger

For the past 14 years, about 5,000 people have gathered on Thanksgiving Day to run the Utah Human Race – a benefit to Utah Food Bank.

This year, it’s impossible.

But the event is still going on, as participants can register and finish in the 5K or 10K competition anytime between November 1 and 27.

When Utah blogger Chelsea Lords were asked to collaborate with Sara Lee over the Artesano Grilled Cheese Showdown, she immediately decided to use Utah honey.
