SAINT BARBARA, Calif. – As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the region and search for transportation remains underway, Santa Barbara Airbus has decided to delay its reopening plans.

Airbus has announced that it has rescheduled its reopening from Monday, November 16 to Monday, December 14.

The company said the extra time would help them assess the impact of COVID cases on travel and continue to prepare for the safety of employees and their customers.

“We believe this is the best thing for our community, our team, and our business. We are committed to getting back to business as soon as we reopen,” said Samantha Onnen, General Manager at Santa Barbara Airbus.

Airbus said the passengers who were detained due to the delay were connected and received a full refund.
