Residence quarantine allowed on Sister Islands
The government of the Cayman Islands has allowed Sister Islands residents to isolate themselves from their home in Cayman Brac or Little Cayman, from 7 Nov.
The government announced Tuesday night that it was promoting the possibility of isolation in the Sister Islands, in line with the success of the pilot program in Grand Cayman.
Residents of the Sister Islands who achieve this will spend 14 days at their home if they agree to use the diagnostic technology and if their homes have been approved by the Public Health department.
According to a document issued by the Government Information Services, the isolation and monitoring process taking place at Grand Cayman is described in Cayman Brac, but to a lesser extent, and is overseen by the Ministry of Public Administration.
“Teams are in the process of being trained to perform a variety of tasks, including testing PCR at an airport; proper drivers and their ropes; ride on the geo platform; meeting the requirements for monitoring and compliance; I am monitoring the area recklessly, “the document said.
Unlike Grand Cayman, where newcomers are taken to their taxi or bus station, passengers arriving at the Sister Islands are allowed to drive on their own. He will be escorted to his home in a state-of-the-art vehicle, to ensure that stops are not on the road, GIS said.
Cayman Travel Assistance Method

If travelers want to isolate themselves from non-traveling members, their details should be recorded immediately. Questions or concerns can be sent to the Travel Cayman team by email [email protected] or call 743-8463 between 8:30 am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. GIS said travelers should be aware that a residence permit is not guaranteed and has been approved by a medical professional.
Once approved, travelers will receive an email from Travel Cayman with a Travel Certificate.
If unauthorized accommodation is not approved, travelers may re-register at the appropriate location, or they will need to be excluded from the private or private state-sponsored Grand Cayman.
Regardless of the individual’s isolation, the isolation period is less than 14 days, followed by the COVID-19 PCR test on day 15 and the side effects signed off by the pharmacist for a longer period of time.
Travelers who live alone at home are asked to allow 24-72 hours to board, which includes receiving negative results, being removed from the monitoring dashboard and restoring monitoring equipment, he said.
Shipping food and other supplies
When a home is isolated, food, medicine and necessities must be ordered from unauthorized donors and delivery, GIS said. This means paying online or over the phone and sending to the left outside the front door. No face-to-face contact or direct contact.
When you receive the items, people who live in the area have to wear a mask and have to wait until the person who is bringing it leaves the place. People who do not live in the house should not enter the courtyard if another locker is outside immediately.
Delivery staff, relatives and friends are not allowed to enter the building or contact the occupants during their solitary confinement.
Violations of this may result in the program not being removed without notice and necessary to complete the process of setting up shelters. Penalties under Section 71 of the Public Health Law (2002 Revision) were recently increased to a fine of $ 10,000 and imprisonment for up to two years, and if they continue to commit offenses, they must pay $ 500 for each day they continue the offense.
