LovalLit guide preview: ‘The Daraga’s Youngsters’ by Colleen H. Robbins of Joliet

Next week, I will review his series, “The Daraga’s Children,” in LocalLit’s Letter.

While this book is interesting and not always the type I read, Robbins has added something to his books that I admire.

Those mentioned in the “Daraga” series face the challenges that young people face in their lives. Reading about how these characters are helping them can inspire young people (and adults) to make their own decisions.

Here is a brief summary of Amazon’s book: “Family is anything, isn’t it? So why do they have so many secrets? Sixteen-year-old Nicholas Nayevson realized he could make a dragon, he couldn’t wait to show his father the witch.

“Walking like a dragon is difficult, but walking like a man has its challenges. Worse, Nicholas has no idea where Daraga’s mysterious father lives. “
