CHENNAI: Pilots planning to travel on Deepavali vacation (November 14) may need to reserve tickets in advance in order to travel safely due to the epidemic.

Since more than 75% travel non-stop during the festive season, traffic controllers have advised train passengers to reserve bus or train tickets in advance. “Booking in advance will ensure that travelers are not forced to travel on buses full of their lives,” said a transport official.

With the operation of private buses continuing and less than 60% of public buses operating, bus operators are facing serious difficulties in investigating the festival’s requirements.

“The tour has seen a big change in the last few months and we can’t really highlight Deepavali’s importance this year,” the official added. Currently, 400 to 420 SETC buses are operating in the state.
