You can dream, plan and plan your trip with us.
But we see it differently. Despite our misery and turmoil, we believe in a brighter future of travel and tourism, and we have found a way to put you, our audience, in the middle of it.
Last year, 229,566 people were directly employed in tourism (8.4% of the total workforce), according to the Ministry of Trade, Planning and Employment. I have seen and despaired when my friends and friends in the companies have lost their jobs, and the big companies we thought to be around have collapsed, or closed down the store.
* Hidden places behind New Zealand have fled
* More than 1.2 million Kiwis are expected to vacation from home within 12 months, research has found
* Recent Closing List: Where are you going to New Zealand?
I look back and fear for my future. “Travel Editor”, a job that was once coveted, now makes “ohs” sympathetic when I introduce myself to the public.
But out of desperation, Covid’s silver coat appeared.
The audience at Stuff Travel grew longer than our initial closure, and interest in home travel from Our Backward Campaign was not satisfied. We heard from readers who also find New Zealand growing up. Many of you have told us how you did not know the real difference and the importance of the unique experiences that Aotearoa has to offer.
As our audience grows, so do the amount of hot emails and phone calls we receive from tourists. What we have had a direct impact on domestic tourism – our readers were keeping track of what we showed, all of us. Some users call the interest we generate for keeping their business up front with their partners.
The opportunity spoke for itself: showing the famous Aotearoa to the 1.47 million New Zealanders who come to Stuff every day. Provide small supervisors with space to reach their audience. Helping regional organizations and travel companies understand the New Zealanders and how they want to see their country. Also to do our part by reinventing one of our largest companies.
That is why we are redefining our mobility. You will still find all the good things you expect from us, as well as its design that will make it easier to find the articles you are looking for.
As part of our commitment to continue reporting climate change and development through The Forever Project, we will also be promoting a sustainable and sustainable movement. The plague has given us a chance to focus on tourism. The opportunity to press the rewrite button is to take advantage of the delayed navigation system, appreciate the benefits and training offered, as well as the minimum Insta time and just look at the list of buckets.
