Amtrak requiring reservations over Thanksgiving

SAINT BARBARA, Calif. – Amtrak will need to reserve train tickets for Thanksgiving holidays.

Amtrak says the reservation helps to cope with the increase in travelers and ensure that travelers are closer.

Pacific Surfliner accommodations can be sold, so passengers need to plan ahead and plan ahead.

Reservations will be required from Monday, November 23 to November 30.

Monthly and 10-day Amtrak trips can still be used, but those with multiple round-trip tickets will need to confirm each trip.

Extra train vehicles are also being added if possible to accommodate passengers.
