Alicante based mostly ex-pat’s travel guide soars to high of the charts

An old Alicante travel guide travels up the charts.

The life-changing experience of being out of the country has become a little easier with the release of a new guide.

Few know the traps awaiting the sun-drenched foreign lands than did the former ambassador and former Lynda Brettle.

Now a mother of two, who has lived in Spain since 2003, has taken all her experiences to have an exciting new book.

Brain at Border has already reached number one in the Amazon Writing chart, as well as attracting five-star light.

“Living outside is not the same as vacation,” says Lynda. Moving overseas for the first time, especially under your steamer, would be like driving a car without any driving lessons on the M4.

“The Border Brain provides the guidance and support needed to prevent disaster.”

Lynda worked for the Foreign Office and the Commonwealth Office for many years before settling in Spain.

From the beginning of her career as a consultant for those who are expected to be their wives, she has seen for herself the challenges that can ruin a dream.

In Brains at Border he remembers his foreign experiences on paradise islands and in war zones, as well as providing practical advice on how to deal with the language problems, laws, and offices that often await visitors.

Lynda added: “Brain at Border has my own fun, exciting and amazing experiences and I live and work around the world with FCO.

“There are also the experiences, the good and the bad, of others, especially those who have lived alone in Spain – as well as the many challenges anyone would think of when moving to another country.”

In addition to successfully managing her mentoring role, Lynda volunteered as President of the Samaritan Assistants in Spain.

Since the release of the Brains at Border he has received a list of five-star rating from cheerful readers.

Lynda’s new theory has been described as a ‘life lesson’, ‘helpful’ and ‘a great insight into relationship survival’.

Following the Brains’ victory at Border, Lynda is writing more books.
